Quotes and scope
Every piece of work is quoted in writing before it begins. The quote sets out what is included. Anything outside that is quoted separately before it is started, so the figure you agree is the figure you pay.
Payment
Work is invoiced in two stages: fifty per cent to begin and fifty per cent on completion, unless something different is agreed in writing. Invoices are due within fourteen days. Work does not begin until the first stage is settled.
What you own
Once the final invoice is paid, the site or system belongs to you outright. That includes the code, the content and the database. There is no licence and no per-user charge, and you are free to move it elsewhere at any time.
What you provide
Text, photographs, logos and any account access needed to complete the work. You confirm you have the right to use anything you supply. Delays in providing these move the delivery date by the same amount.
Revisions
One round of changes is included in the quoted price. Further changes are quoted separately.
Hosting and running costs
Hosting, domain renewals and any AI usage are billed at cost with nothing added. These are optional; you may host the work yourself if you prefer.
If a project stops
If work is paused for more than sixty days at your request or through lack of response, the project is treated as complete and the balance becomes due for the work carried out to that point.
Liability
Work is carried out with reasonable skill and care. Liability is limited to the fees paid for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
